Besides myself for maintaining this repository, credits are to be given to Wizet/Nexon (owners of MapleStory & it's IP contents), the original MapleSolaxia staff and other colaborators, as just some changes/patches on the game were applied by myself, in which some of them diverged from the original v83 patch contents (alright, not just 'some patches' by now.

All androids (that have more than one default) can be born with any hair and eye colour and these are completely randomised. The styles they select from depend on which type of android they are; some even only come in one default look.

With the exception of Evangelion androids, android appearance is modifiable. There is an Android Beautician, Lauren, in the Henesys Hair Salon who deals with all your android beauty needs. Here you can use the following to modify your android’s appearance:

  • Hair Style Coupon (VIP/REG/Royal)
  • Hair Colour Coupon (VIP/REG)
  • Face Coupon (VIP/REG/Royal)
  • Skin Coupon (VIP/REG)
  • All One-Time Cosmetic Lenses contacts except White

Additionally, these event hair and face coupons can be used on androids:

  • Android Kitty Hair Coupon (M/F)
  • Murgoth’s Hair Coupon
  • Murgoth’s Face Coupon
  • Nine-Tailed Fox Hair Coupon

Craftable Android Styles
By default, regular androids will have Pale or Light skin and a random hair and face style from the selection below.

Deluxe Androids select from their own pool of appearance options and, in addition to Pale or Light, can also be born with Pink skin, like special androids.

Special Android Styles
Mesoranger androids share the same style pool as Deluxe but wear Mesoranger outfits.

Halloweenroid (F) has her own unique options, and only comes in white (Mercedes) skin. The colours shown are defaults; Halloweenroid style colours are not randomised. The “unconfirmed” column on the right shows styles that came with Halloweenroid in JMS, but do not appear in the GMS version. Many thanks to Krissy of Scania for her help with this!

Princessroid, Summeroid, Fantastical Android, Schooldroid, and Maidroid each select from smaller pools that largely consist of Royal styles, and these androids can come with Pale, Light or Pink skin.

Berylroid, Succubus, Futuroid, Orchiroid, Shade, Zero Alpha/Beta, Zombie, Darkhound, Lotusroid, Hilla, Magnus, Murgothroid, Battle-roids, Louie-roids, Masteria androids, Friendsroids, Moonbeam Roid, Fairy Roids, Secret Stories androids, Damienroid, Aliciaroid, Re:ZERO androids, Wondroids, Lucidroid, Manjiroid, and Evangelion androids only come in one default look (though Louie-roids and Fairy Roids have randomised hair and eye colour).

  • For Special Android Styles, I have divided the face options into two columns. The one on the left (android-exclusive) means these are the special faces you can only obtain via opening one of these androids and getting lucky. The right column shows other options the android may be born with, but these styles are also available from the beautician. The colours shown may not necessarily be what yours ends up with; I just wanted to make my guide colourful.
  • Every android can still have their default looks changed at the salon, but keep in mind the change options remain the same as for Regular Androids (see below). If you choose to change your special android’s unique hair/face, you cannot get it back!
  • Yes, Schooldroid (M) really does come with the female headgear, as does Battle-roid (M) underneath that mask ^^

Finally, android eye colour can be changed as of v.177! Currently, all colours are available apart from white.

Android Kitty Hair Coupons
Maplestory’s 9th Anniversary event shop brought not only a ton of glorious scrolls for android hearts, but also the first ever Android Hair Coupons released in GMS: Android Kitty Hair Coupon (F) and Android Kitty Hair Coupon (M)!
Double-clicking on the coupon will change your android’s hairstyle into the male or female variants of Kitty Hair, shown below:

The coupons are permanent, untradeable and were 650 9th Anniversary Coins from Inkwell. You can only use the coupon on corresponding gender androids (i.e. the (M) coupon will not work on a female android and vice versa).
Warning: This coupon will apply to whichever android you have equipped at the time. Be sure to double check you are wearing the one you want Kitty Hair on.

Royal Coupons?
Royal hair options for androids at the beautician were mistakenly added into game data in the v.154 patch on 16 September 2014 and then removed in the 2 October 2014 maintenance.

Android’s Royal hairstyles that were obtainable from 16 Sep – 2 Oct 2014:

Since the v.188 Tune Up! patch, Royal Hair Coupon and Royal Face Coupon may now be used on all androids except Evangelion androids (which are blocked from all style modifications). The styles available select from the same pool as the current rotation for regular characters, but this new feature has been notorious for not aligning with current character Royal Styles. Please check the official bug forum for reports of potential mismatches before purchasing Royal Coupons for your android.

Android Labels
Most androids will come with the standard white text/red background label. Some newer androids will have different designs, such as Cool Moonbeam Roid’s pink ribbons or Fairy Roids’ grey-black labels. Currently, there is no way to change the android label styles in GMS.

You can, however, change the name of your android. ‘Android Naming Coupon’ is purchasable from the Cash Shop for 1,200 NX, under Equipment Modifications -> Other.

Although the CS item will last for 90 days, the name change effect on your android is permanent. Your android’s new name is specific to that android; that is, the new name will remain on the android even after it is traded. Androids can be renamed unlimited times, using a new Naming Coupon per name change.

The “earrings” that androids wear can be hidden by using Android Ear Sensor Clip.

This item was introduced in the 6 September 2017 Cash Shop update as a random reward from Golden Apple.
